Shannon Bryner was born in Salt Lake City, where she attended West High School. She lives with her husband and their two children in South Jordan, Utah. She and her husband Dean Hale have also published a graphic novel, Rapunzel's Revenge. Her two adult novels are Austenland and The Actor and the Housewife.
